Kuijia
KUIJIA, meaning "armour" in Mandarin, represents the core of our brand. KUIJIA designs their garments to be one’s armour, helping to navigate the world with strength, confidence, and style. Inspired by the cultural blend of the founder's hometown, Hong Kong, KUIJIA was born out of a deep love and respect for heritage and tradition. The brand values strong working relationships with manufacturers, believing that respect across cultural borders fosters collaboration and understanding. Each KUIJIA garment is handcrafted in a small, female-run workshop in Guangdong Province, where skilled artisans meticulously hand-knot and dye each button, preserving centuries-old traditions. They embrace the slow fashion movement, focusing on quality over quantity, and produce limited, carefully curated collections throughout the year. Every piece is a tribute to the elegance and grace of Chinese dress, reimagined for the modern world.
Launch shoot
I loved filming and photographing KUIJIA’s launch shoot with Founder Siddie, Brand Consultant Anna from Studio Lupidi, our model Mia as well as the wider team to create the magic that was their first collection shoot. We did a mix of e-comm and lifestyle for social media, press and beyond.
